Ask your automotive paint store for a (free) copy of the P-sheet for the paint you're buying. It'll have the flash time, pot time, and a lot of other important things that you'll forget if somebody simply tells you.
As to the order of panels, my college instructor said it's a matter of personal choice. One book I've read, though, suggests if you're in a cross-draft booth to start on the roof, then go clockwise from the RR fender (around the car to the R door), but if you're in a down-draft booth, start with the L door, go around the front to the R door, then over the roof to the LF fender then around the rear to the RR fender (sort of a figure 8 pattern). My "booth" is my garage - but I pretend it's a cross-draft. _________________ M D "Doc" Nugent

Hey Wayne, carcentric is right its just a matter of choice but if I may add that at whatever way you fell comfortable at spraying try to keep a wet edge so that there will not have any dry spots. Example; you may start at the roof from the left and move to the middle, then walk to the right side of the roof and start to spray where you left off from and continue to finish the the roof. Now that would be for the clearcoat or a singlestage. As for the base if you are using a basecoat/clearcoat just spray how you feel comfortable with. _________________ 2-67
