We are making a little dimple die to create a 1-1/8" impression in 18ga.. 1/8" deep only on one side. A 180 degree dimple for all of the outer pan bolt holes. The rear ends of the outer pans got their recessed area where the rear triangle goes. OK, our only update.

Its kind of funny, but that seems to be like the approach that I take, even with my limited skills and resources on the last build and this one. It's a bitch trying to make something look "factory" and a comment to that effect was one of the best compliments I ever got on the woodie. Was from a couple guys that have a small custom shop and they "got it". _________________ D-Dubya Manx clone - 63 Short pan,1914.

Working on the rear of the cab - You cant see it, but there is a wooden buck that has been screwed in. Its has been rounded over and shaped to supply the form for the sheet metal. My wife is pretty happy with how its coming.
This is one of 2 bucks for forming the rear cab corners.

You mean the car or the wife? Heading back over shortly to drop the body on the pan. Had to come back to the house to accept delivery of a 60 RHD bug and get it in my storage garage. Man, its ugly _________________ D-Dubya Manx clone - 63 Short pan,1914.

I would even go as far as slipping some hush money under the table.
A title could be: Volksrods, Fenderless, Scratchbuilts, and other Hot Rod VW's
We could still let coad run things, he's firm and strict. |

TheSamba is the greatest Vw site, but the Volksrods are not perceived well by most members... That's ok in my book..
As for a Volksrod forum..we had that dicussion in this topic
http://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/viewtopic.php?t=375815&highlight=volksrod
So rally if you must ...
I'd even offer to be a moderator..of the forum. (Now installing foot in mouth). _________________ aka Ken {o\!/o}

VW's are VW's...
You have a off road forum which is the dirt version of Volksrod (cut and modified)... so why not have a Volksrod forum? You have buggy's and kit cars even... please add a Volksrod forum, and once people know that it is here, they/we will come. _________________ Don't harsh my mellow...

So if you think a Volksrod catagory is a great or stupid idea, post your thoughts here. http://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/viewtopic.php?t=375815 _________________ D-Dubya Manx clone - 63 Short pan,1914.

If you are determined to lose 90% of your Views and 50% of your Posts, than put it between Kit Cars & Watercooled where we Never go. It is not like Every Forum doesn't have Purists/Pundits. Put it on Facebook, where you can control who are your 'friends'. _________________ https://imgur.com/user/FisherSquareback/posts
