This car has fallen into the hands of a local Volkswagen vulture. Best to forget about it ever being restored or sold.

Don

Vulture's suck!

Too bad it looks like it was pretty original, those taillight reflectors remind me of Dutch items and the motor looked to be original too, cool serial number plate under the trunk lid. Smile ~ What a shame a car like that deserves to be restored.....

Well, at 34 years old, I figure I still have plenty of time to decide what to do with my cars. Right now I am happy enjoying my two children and wife, doing projects around the house, and woking on my 54 bus when there is a free moment. ...Although I think some actual vultures may have been spotted carrying sunroof's 59 beetle to the scrapper after four years of free storage at my house ;P

People are still scrapping pre 1960 Beetles? !!! Surprised

This 55 canadian custom was scrapped a couple of month ago! In fact cut and recycled. Very Happy

Are those tail lights correct for 55 canadians? Thought it was a us spec part.

Did you decide to paint the car back to the original Ultramaroon? I sincerely hope that such a rare car is restored back to as close to the original condition as possible! Your work is very impressive, keep as much OG steel as possible, that's the spirit.

Nice work on the fender. Did you make the patch panel or use a piece off a donor fender?
