Hello everybody,
I was Lucky enough to find few years ago a 12v push button for my 62 notchback (see the picture in my gallery)
The car is always under restauration and I will try to compare the 6v and 12v model asap for knowledge but I have some friends here in France that kept also the 6v unit without trouble |

So to follow up on what I did in my 12 volt conversion:
Pulled the 6 volt headlight relay pictured below:
Went to the FLAPS and bought a 5 terminal electronic relay and wired it up using this very crude diagram created through a discussion with Telford Dorr.
As you can see, the "J" wire wasn't used.
I have all of the original functions that were available in 6 volt configuration. Flash to pass with all lights off, high beam, low beam, etc.
I finally got around to testing it today and everything works perfectly. |

I happened to find the 12 volt version of this relay. Not sure of the origin, but may be Volvo or Saab.
The SWF part number is R200.464.
Terminals (compare with the 6 volt version in post above)

That's interesting...I was never able to find one.
I bought the Hella version in 12 volt - fairly easy to find.

In the end I stayed with the 6V relay after my 12V conversion. It works ... most of the time. Sometimes I get a click and nothing happens. Sometimes I get a "double-click" and the relay switches and then immediately back.
Anyone else using the 6V relay on 12V? Would a resistor on the signal wire improve things?
