I never thought I would find myself saying this, but I wish my car had that much surface rust lol. I have a 65, and it has some light surface rust spots along the fender area. Eventually I'm going to get the car repainted its o.g. color (L87 pearl white) but wouldn't mind "rockin' the rust" until that happens. That car looks sweet! _________________ - Marc M.

I will shoot some more pics the next time I have out of the garage. Been mostly working on electrical. Had new keys cut for it as it didn't have any keys when I got it. Got a 6volt optima yellow top and so far have most all lights working but it looks like the starter may be bad, can't get it to turn over so far.... _________________ 63 Beetle

Computers been down so haven't been able to post pics for a while.
Here's a few updates:
Computers back up so I can post pics again....
Got a few more goodies the other day:
Front brakes done and ready to go back on.....
Got the beam primed this morning and will shoot it with paint later today:
Picked up the lug bolts from Chadd. Mocked the wheel onto the drum and will need to trim a little bit of the lug bolts to clear the brake assembly. Figured that was gonna need to be done anyway...

Finally got around to downloading the pics off my Iphone of the extraction from the chicken house.
Here is the first view when I walked in:
The 65 that had been rolled over was parked in front of the 63.
Out in the light of day for the first time in 25 years...
Towbar hooked up and ready to go to it's new home.

Got a little more done. Beam is in, brakes, spindles are on. Need to get one tierod end to finish, had to rob one to replace a bad one on the bus. Got the tires mounted and installed the dual circuit M/C.
