As for myself, I have no problem with modifications, or themes.
In fact i would encourage diversity.
The only think that would ruffle my feathers would be an exterior colors change. That is the only thing that sets it apart from from the rest.
I'm happy that it found a good home and also that you will remain an active part of this movement.

May all the Wild Westerners ride again. Exclamation

For those of you whom have recently joined us, here is a recap.

We gave birth to this forum on September 10 2012, in an effort to locate/save
and revive all remaining Wild Westerners as well as, solve the mystery of its creation.

So far we have information that there are approximately 65 still here although most are in the western States and many are not driveable at this time. d

As a result of our efforts the word has spread, and we now have Wild Westerners in Canada, Germany, Mexico, The United Kingdom.

Many have found new homes in the USA because of our efforts and I want to thanks everyone that has contributed to Noble Cause.

The mystery of the creation had been heatedly debated with no conclusive answer as to why and still remains a mystery.

After reviewing some of the earlier posts i would like for you on the left to place ads in the craigslists or any other free source that you may have to try and locate any individual that may have been associated with Riviera Motors.

What we seeking:
How many Wild Westerners were produced.
A list of serial numbers.
The reason of the creation of this Mystical Magical Mystery Machine.

Extra Turkey and Dressing for anyone that can provide any new information.

It would be of great help if someone will post the m-code decoder link.

I'm compiling a list of states that we currently have Wild Westerners for the purpose of redistribution (have you heard that before). This redistribution is a good thing. Our goal is to have a Wild Westerner running and driving in every state .

In the mean time I'm going to get tore-up from the floor-up.

Don't forget to take your pets for ride they like getting out too.

Peace Out.

There's an assortment of them part way down in the FAQ's at the top of the stickie section at the top of the forum page.

Thanks TCASH
I'm guessing that is the same one. It looks different however if it works that all we need.
If everyone will take the numbers on the m-code plate behind the drivers seat and insert them in the decoder this will give you detailed info on your bus.
If you don't mind share the Destination and Production Date with us as you see below on my avatar. This will us help determine where most Wild Westerners were distributed throughout the USA.
Also it would be a FUN Fact to know about your Wild Westerners past.

If you have trouble with the decoder speak up and someone will assist you.

Do we have anyone near Lake Elsinore, California?

We need someone to go to Interstate Wrecking and look at all the m-code tags on all the 1973 (or all type 2) buses.

We need to verify how many Wild Westerners are there and give us a condition report as well as cost and title status?

We need to stoke the fire and get these buses on the road again!!!

Currently, I'm trying to connect with the known owners on East Coast in an effort to get then road ready or sold to someone who is willing to revive them.

Chop.... Chop

Mine is 2232-196-784. We purchased her back in 2012, and having been doing work slowly. Engine has been rebuilt and running pretty good. Fighting with electrical now. I bought this from a young guy in Irwindale, CA, but do not have much history other than that. The blue stripe was painted over, but I am ready to get a paint job back to original colors pretty soon as well. I will post some pictures soon. I am close to Lake Elsinore, and will try and stop by in the next few weeks and get the numbers from the ones that are there.

Eric and Ruth Griffith, Murreita, CA.

Hey, hey 784 was one we have listed that on a query as unknown. Also take a look on page 80 of this forum. We have a list of sighting with no serial numbers. I'm not familiar with the west coast therefore maybe the one you have will have been listed with no serial number.

I just broke out into my Happy Dance. On chit i think I pulled something Sad

Its Hell to get Old.

Yes, super we need a visual at Lake Elisor Wrecking Yard.

Thanks Cuz Smile
