1970 VW Beetle.
When I removed the rear brake drum (I used a hammer because it was stuck, sorry) the wheel bearing spacer came out with it. Perhaps it was a bit rusted to the drum(?). It doesn't just slide back in under the seal and the drum doesn't slide in all the way now.
So I will have to remove the bearing housing to reposition the bearing spacer, correct?

Thanks for the reply.
Could I use the drum to push it back in, and just tighten the axle nut to pull it into place? Or squeeze it in before replacing the drum?

One side of the spacer is chamfered. That would be the side that goes in towards the oil seal. Cool
