Saw your bus at the Drag races on Friday in Mission. Looks great. You make me want to dig into my bus and get it on the road. It's long overdue. _________________

Another one with solid palm green front bumper just showed up in Sask. Perhaps it was part of a Canadian batch? Maybe he'll chime in. |

It's been a while since I've posted here. Just an update on the bus.
It's on the road (just came out for another season, and I'm already doing a repair to a leaky wheel seal. Fun times!).
Here are some shots from last season.
Hanging with my rat rod 65 bug at the Father's day car show
With the PG VW crew. We do cruises and get togethers on Thursday nights.
Getting ready for the show. Here it sits on my brand new concrete floor.
Loaded for the Great Canadian VW show in Vancouver last August.
My '56 between two beautiful busses at the Great Canadian VW show 2014. It wasn't the shiniest, but it was the oldest one there, and only PGSG bus in attendance

I've been sidetracked by a few new projects. I am a bit of a purist (I love OG VWs - I even prefer OG paint!). I work hard to save them, not destroy them. This new project has been therapy for me (literally, as I have been dealing with some serious health issues over the last year). I wanted something that was a 180 from stock, something I could take my frustrations out on.. something I could chop up and weld the living hell out of!!! Grrrr! Check it out if you can stand it. Purists look away!!! It burnnnnns!!!

I'm calm now. More on the PGSG to come in the next little bit (promise!) |

Just checked out your "trug" thread, that thing is going to be awesome! You've got some serious fabrication skills. _________________ "A rolling bus gathers no rust." |

Thank you Stuco!
I have to confess that I enjoy that kind of work more than wrenching - which explains why my blinkers aren't working properly and my axle seal is still leaking after repairing it! |
