i need to tow a 99 vw bug across town. Don't really want to buy a tow bar. Where can I hook up a strap to tow behind my truck?

Not the right forum for a 99 bug but there is a tow hook that comes with the car that threads into a hole hidden by a plastic cap on the front bumper. The tow hook should be in the glovebox.

You may want to check local laws on towing.. last time I tried to tow with a strap cops pulled us over and said it was illegal. Didn't get a ticket, just had to call a tow truck.

I'd call UHAUL.
Its $45 for a dolly that raises the front wheels.
Its $55 for an auto transport that lifts all four wheels on a dual axle trailer.

Or, sign up for AAA and have them tow it for free. Just ideas.
