It looks like the Cloudflare service is having some congestion issues in Seattle, that may be where both of you are going through based on your locations.

They reported this as 1 hour ago, which seems to align with both of your reports.

There definitely were no issues earlier today, at least from my location.

Edit - they reported this was fixed 1 hour later (very soon after this post)

Things were reasonably quick around lunchtime but are dragging now, no errors but some subjects or forum pages take forever to load. The hover dropdowns at the top are still active while waiting and all the links change color when hovered over but nothing happens when you click except for the spinny thing in the tab going around.
Opening a new browser page and doing something on another site while waiting works fast as you'd expect so I don't think it's a browser issue on my end.

I was on at the time you posted this and experienced no issues from this location.
I don't know of any issues with the site either.

The site would not load for me last night. All I would get is an error message and a little diagram showing that something was wrong between cloudfire in Dallas and the site. Glad to see it's back working this morning.

Full meltdown for me tonight at 11:00 PST, every error page imagineable except for logging me out and requiring a password.

Ok, I will take a look.
Everything seemed fine for me except some slowness around that time.
I was using the site.

Update: This is ok, the site was updating some software at that time and it caused a short period of locking.

I'm still getting problems every so often. Perhaps 2 times a day this site just stops loading while I'm visiting. About 2 or 3 minutes later it works again like nothing happened. The occasional drag is just long enough to get me to open a couple other tabs in my browser and verify that other sites load (about once a week Comcast seems to give me a 1 or 2 minute hang time.)

Yes, the site was down for 5 minutes or so.

A bunch of software updated last night and when I restarted something this am to change a new setting, I found out the automatic configuration had inserted a typo for some reason and wouldn't restart. Evil or Very Mad

The site just locked up for about 5 minutes but it's back now.

100% my fault though as I fixing something in the database and it was more resource-intensive than expected.

CloudFlare is not the host for the site, it's just a service that speeds up the site by storing the images and "static" resources in locations worldwide** and helps block hacking/denial of service attacks.

If the site is running really slow or is not responding, they also have a service where it will show a message instead of a dead page.
Sometimes it will show a cache of the page instead too.

** This is called a CDN
