|
|
Hi Guys,
I just purchased a 25 foot roll of this
http://www.goodyearep.com/productsdetail.aspx?id=5144
It says on the Goodyear website working pressure is only 100PSI
Is this the right fuel line? or is there a higher working pressure?
Thanks _________________ 1989 Vanagon GL Westfalia - 2.1L waterboxer |

that's the right stuff, your fuel system is regulated to around 34psi.. so it's plenty
will your pump exceed 100PSi if your regulator fails.. possibly.
are there higher rated fuel lines, probably. but not commonly available.
these are answers in the under %.05 factor (random figure no underlying data basis) _________________

For an idea of how possible - To check for leaks after my fuel line replacement, I clamped off the return hose and cycled the ignition switch a few times to run the pump. Once I hit about 50 psi the pump wouldn't run anymore. _________________ '91 Westfalia GL Automatic (GTA "Turbo" Rebuild w/Peloquin) and 2.3L GoWesty Engine |

Just a note with Maximum safety working pressure and safe working loads are that those numbers are usually well below where that product would actually fail. But those safety limits are there for a reason! _________________ A sad looking 88 Westfalia, MT 2.1 with 150k on the clock and several issues! |

I have been running this hose for over ten years...no issues.
Still working off my 250' coil.
Wurth Zebra clamps are really nice too. |
