1974 beetle with different fenders. hid headlights, beam narrowed 5 inches, dropped spindles, 3 notches in the rear still need to notch the plates. A couple of electrical prpblems, but has a strong 1641dp in it and is so much fun to cruise in. After electrical is sorted its on to paint. It feels great to have another vw. [/quote]

A buddy of mine was looking to trade for this car a couple of weeks ago. Glad to see some slammed vw action in Louisiana.

they are bright as a mofo lol they might be though they light up everything at night. the bulbs are hids but the kit I think is the projection beam. I bought it with the headlights like this, thus the electrical problems that randomly occur. I love this car though.

Where did you find that front valence to make the bumper look flat? I just purchased a 74 super beetle and like that non-rounded look. Thanks

His is a standard. Not a super beetle.

Those headlights aren't proper projectors, they are just an ordinary H4 headlight insert with a glass lense in front of the globe for people who want the "look" of a projector headlight without the cost

I had a set the same but without the blacked out reflector.
they are truely awful headlights on low beam
The faux projector creates too many shadows in front of the globe and with a drop in HID kit like that they would throw light everywhere except on the road

Is it possible to modify my super beetle with a standard front valence you think?
