Wow!, looks like a European delivered 1600 powered 1974 doubledoor sunroof Kombi, that's one mighty rare bus.
The camper parts appear to be home built and added afterwards. Any more pictures of the sunroof and headliner?, I'm curious if it came with it or it was added later as the rest of the bus seems to have a pressboard interior.

The hole in the floor is for the removeable middle seat heat outlet , the sunroof and headliner sure look like VW put them there, I suspect someone added the pop top later.

Yea, now it is much clearer , thanks.

OK. So it is double door walk through sunroof kombi , camper or home made rear bench and wooden suitcase on the back roof and pop top are later modifications.

Appears that I have no sunroof cover or mechanism (maybe sunroof handle)

I would be so nice to make it sunroof operational again, but until that happens maybe I will keep this pop top.

Sounds like you have it all figured out now, except what brand is that pop top? It is interesting and I am not convinced it is added by the original owners.

This makes it a rare bus indeed. Very cool to have a passenger bus double door with a sunroof Wink

Please restore this one. What does the M Plate say?

Well,

Pop top is as I can see nothing but sunroof cover but it is extracted outside so wider lower part comes on top. It seams that i just going to need mechanism , handle etc.

And yes, my sunroof doubledoor kombi has daily trip counter and starting with no key ??

And what would be the OG color? silverish?

Words? If I worried about words and or re-read things I glanced over days-weeks ago then you wouldn't have any lame come backs from using duct tape on your HE Cool

You are welcome, now move along, nothing to see here.

Sorry to hijack a bit veskovici.

Your bus is very cool and seems to have a hidden past.
