Started back on the main body wet sanding the clear with 1000, we plan to re-clear it again next week. We also took the time to fix 3 small dings that we found while wet sanding. Two of them I already knew about they showed up after the clear was sprayed the first time. The one on the dash was my fault I welded up the hole for the grab handle but forgot to skim it. The two small dings that where on the body actually blocked out and we didn't have to use any finish filler. Jeremy shot a little primer on those spots and next week we will wet sand them and he will shoot a little color and then on to re-clearing the body.
Had to wash it a few times this is it in the sun drying after wet sanding.
Here you can see the two spots that we fixed they only had to be blocked.
and the third one that was on the dash that I forgot to fill.
Lucky for me we have planned to cut and re-clear since the beginning, so these are easy fixes right now.

Well its been a couple of weeks, fought the flu for a few days and the holidays crept up. But it was a beautiful day today perfect for some booth time. Got the fenders, doors and hood all wet sanded and Jeremy shot 3 more coats of clear. I did have one set back, as I was wet sanding one of the fenders I had left the glove box door on the stand and it fell to the ground bent the crap out of it so I will be doing that over again, it must have hit just right because it bent the crap out of it. That sad part is that I have had an extra glove box for about 5 years and just a couple of months back I took it along with several other parts to the swap.
Here are some pic's from today

Worked on the pan today while Jeremy was cutting and buffing. Mainly cleaned up all the slag left over from when the factory welded it together. Got a few dents in the frame horn fixed (probably caused from a jack) and got it in final primer. Its pretty much ready for paint all I have left is to sand it with 400 then seam seal it and in the booth it will go. I am not sure if I am going to run the new fuel line before or after I paint.

Well things are slowly progressing, Got the pan wet sanded, seam sealed, and in paint today. Probably should have replaced the fuel line but we had perfect weather for paint so I will deal with it later.
I also got my front and rear brakes in. Still waiting on my spring plates.
I sent my ragtop clip out to be refurbished. Turned out that a few of my parts will have to be replaced such as the rear tension bar. I will post updates on it when I get it back.

Well my ragtop assembly is finished and headed back to me. I had a lot of rust issues and Al found me replacement pieces for what I needed and I am still waiting on my goldie handle to come back from the chromer. All the pieces were powdercoated of course the powder coat did not hide the pits on the front bow but once the canvas is on it you won't see that. Al recommended not to change the rollers, they are stained but are in excellent condition, and once installed you won't see them. Al says the quality of the new rollers don't match up to factory quality, but he is sending a replacement set if I want to install them.
