Hey Blake..this is Steve Phipps.

Your car is looking amazing. I didn't know you were installing air ride in that beauty.

Now that I've seen yours I'm ashamed to go down to my garage and look at mine....she is an ugly duckling compared to your beauty.

I look forward to more progress picks and the final product.

Hi Steve, thanks for the kind words. Don't be silly man, your beetle is nothing to be ashamed of. This has been a 7 year / way too many dollars project.

I am working on uploading the pictures to another host so i don't have to deal with photobucket bandwidth issues.

Here are a few of the front airbag mount fabrication. Legend Metal Co. is doing all the work on this too.

Correct. There are a number of different materials people use including threaded rod. After a ton of research the person doing the fabrication chose to use Chromoly bar stock.

Finally got some time to work on the bug. Went around the whole body with a tap and cleaned the bolt holes. Got the fenders hung and the decklid in place. After struggling with a gigantic mouse nest in the pillar we finally got the harness in too.

Put together these quick time lapses for fun.
