Well after this Bus was for sale forever I bought it. Made a 28 hour road trip up and back last weekend to pick it up and now time to get this thing back on the road. It is now In Nor-Cal and ready to get back on the road. Here are a couple pics of when we picked it up and some pics of it getting cleaned up a little. Im sure I will have some questions and need some parts too!

Great looking bus. It doesn't look like it needs much, is that right? _________________

So to answer a couple questions. Dose it need a lot well that depends on the owner I guess. In my eyes it should not need much. Yes it has a 56 front noise that was put on it some years ago. Not sure how many DD are left out there but not many that are barndoors from what I have seen. Here is todays little project.

I have one March 1953. According to BarndoorDK figures, only two BD DD are older then my 53. However, I'm not sure those two are on the road.
Not sure of a total count though. Probably not much more? _________________ ----VW's in my garage----

I was always under the impression the one from up North (Jeremy's) was converted by Cameron.
Not the case? |

Greg not the case at all. This is a real double door Camron did metal repairs to it at some point. But it was imported from Denmark and is a real double door. |
