That's funny...I'm the guy that snapped the pic of your bus and those emblems...I just ASSumed since it was a DD you got swap spaces on both sides of it. _________________

Big props for getting your bus on the road so quickly. It was also pleasant talking to your two coaches on hand. They must be Farmers of some kind? Hopefully you three return in June with your rides. |

Well after a small break go back after this thing. Had to replace the starter and bushing, then take the gen back out today and replace the brushes. Also has to overlay the wire from the starter button to the starter and now it STARTS!!! I had been crank starting it to make it run but now it works with the button.
Got to get this thing road read for Red Barn next month its a 3 1/2 hour drive and I would like to go with out a trailer this time. Still looking for little parts to make it more correct. |

Been putting some miles on and today had to make more repairs. Rebuilt both reduction boxes all new bearings! Then found out driving home no brake light needs a new switch. Got to get this road ready for Red Barn and Kelley park next week. |

Well got to take the bus on a 300 mile round trip road test. It was a great shake down trip getting ready for LA in June. We left and made it 40 miles out of town before the first brake down. After being warned about powered coated wheels I made sure they had been cleaned at the lug holes and torqued and still lost the driver side rear wheel. No major damage done, got some help from Justin at Kombi Hus and back on the road. Made it down to Red barn and was able to make a trade for a full roof rack! Swapped and met some new folks.
Sat we made it back to San Jose with having to crank start it again and checked out a open house party a the Z shop. Making another small repair and charging the battery.
Sunday at Kelley park swapped some more and bought some original tail lights for the bus score! Left around 1:30 to make the 3 hour drive home. Well almost made it home. About 50 miles from home spun a main bearing in the 36. Had to get call and get trailered home.
The good news is its four days later and have another 36 together and put it in tonight and it runs again. Needs a couple some thing and will be off to another show this weekend! |

very nice, that is the right way to bond with your bus, by now you have touched all the important parts, including the motor and RGBs, now it is YOUR bus _________________ regards
