I found this link on the bus forum for an auction in Nebraska.
http://www.gpsold.com/
Looks like they are auctioning an old wrecking yard full of Vws. Among the cars for sale is a 58 Ghia chassis number 2490307. It looks like there are about 15 other Ghias too. Hopefully some one can pick these up cheap and make some use of them. |

Nice pictures, looks like the years haven't been kind to most of those cars though. Funny thing is, if the whole lot was separated into fixable projects and carefully salvaged parts, there'd be a tidy sum when all was sold. I can't help feeling that at least a good portion of these are destined for the crusher though

That white ghia looks pretty good, and so does the lowlight. 4 lug wheels though so someone's done a pan swap, or maybe just a front beam swap. Too far for me. |

Rough looking lot of cars, some neat old stuff with a bit of modern junk like the ford windstar mixed in. It does appear that the lowlight is on a later 4 lug IRS style pan. Some might consider that a good upgrade
I wonder who's idea it was to have an outdoor auction in the midwest during the winter? Seems like an odd time, unless circumstances are forcing it. |

Those are the kind of cars I like to buy. It looks like the property is actually in Iowa. Someone needs to get Mike from Antique Archeology in there to buy those. He knows how to get stuff into the hands of those who can best use them! |

Poor babies! That white '64 looks pretty solid, but those two yellow 68's look like they're at the end of their road |
