What a fantastic build and a wonderful save on that bus. I see that you made plans for the jump seat, did you also draw up the main bench seat. I would love to follow your lead in my 69. Breck |

Great restoration!
You may want to be careful of having any sharp objects close to passengers (folding table connection/hinge) I believe VW went to some extent to not have sharp or hard objects close to passengers in case of a collision… _________________ Current VWs 71 T2 Westy SO-72/6(Miami), 71 Crew Cab, 2015 GSW TDI

Wonderful work, congratulations.
I guess if it makes sense to restore that, it makes sense that Europeans are spending $10,000 on solid buses and shipping them over there. _________________ The consequences of your decisions should not be confused with fate. |

my 73 i have was'nt this rusted out in places, but it was enough for me to see a better body i found.i still have the 73 but its been mostly parted out, some parts found new life on my 79 adventurewagen.another thing is i chopped out the manual shifter bracket out of the 73 and grafted it into the 79 it was automatic, but when i bought it,the running gear was already removed.plus the adventurewagen was worth more and much more fun to use with my family.looks good what you did to the ole bus. |

I swear, with the all fabrication you did to save it, you're ready to build the next one from scratch with just sheets of steel and a welder. Beautiful color combination and very impressive work! |

I've spent on the reconstruction of the van max. $ 6,000, the cost of the bus is included in this price. |

Hey Elvin, did you by chance draw up plans for your back bench seat? I would love to have a look at them. I am in the process of making my 69 Kombi into a weekend camper and have been looking for a good set of drawings for a while. Breck _________________ Ian: 69 Kombi Delux |

Nice!
Are you planning on installing seat belts? or does no one ride in the back... _________________ Current VWs 71 T2 Westy SO-72/6(Miami), 71 Crew Cab, 2015 GSW TDI
