Might as well go ahead and do it all at this point...
-Amen!
Here you are, the car is at a body shop, and you are young and have the time.
it's mostly ALL time.
Ya, money, you can find a way.
Hit up some of these old timer/hoarders...
Donor panels from old junk cars are cheap.
Especially ones that need work.
I have four doors (2-bolt hinges unfortunately, sorry) that I am going to throw away because they need a bit of body work and nobody will buy them.
Rack up the credit cards if you have to, to get some donor sections.
You will have your whole life to earn some more money.
Time is money, and you have time.
You are rich with time!
You will be seriously bummed if you get done with the paint and it's a big compromise.
Get the body and shell, fenders, doors, pillars right - everything that is painted back to 100% factory or as close as you can get.
Don't worry about stupid things like the dash pad or the wheels or anything that bolts on.
just get the body right.
You will be seriously bummed if you squander your chance at the body shop.
I speak from experience here. you will get a sick feeling at the end, when it's "done" but still needs done again.
You will look at it, and see a bunch of shouldas and couldas.
And think "next time"... _________________ Bus Motor Build

Sorry to see your ditching the suicide doors. I have a deck lid for an early notch. Free to you, not sure on shipping from Canada. I can check if you are interested. Cheers |

I have late model square A,B & heater channels. I also have a couple sets of late model doors.
I still vote for keeping the suicide doors etc! _________________ https://imgur.com/user/FisherSquareback/posts

I have a set of 67-only doors, and A-pillars too, free if you want them.
Shipping is going to get you, though....
If you are going to go through all of that trouble, may as well make it correct,
At least with metal-work.
Things that bolt on can always be changed later.
There's a guy like me who has some fix-able doors and a pillars, but he has the correct 3-bolt style you need.
Er, want... _________________ Bus Motor Build

I got a pair of doors from Tram, it's a little sad that I have to ditch the suicide doors but I'll post a picture of how bad the metal work was on those door.
As long as a 66 A pillar from a fastback would work I can get a pair.
I'll take some pictures of my progress soon, but right now I'm just getting the parts i need to do it right
Thanks for all the willingness to help, you guys are awesome! |

All A pillars are the same.
As far as B pillars go, I think that there are just basically pop out or non pop out.
C pillars vary by model.
My roof has A pillars but the Bs are gone. Sorry. _________________ Немає виправдання для війни! Я з Україною.

Keep in mind that a 66 Fastback uses 2 bolt doors. The "A" pillars will be set up for them. _________________ Bob 65 Notch S with Sunroof

Yeah, some of the early 66 Qquare's got 3 bolt hinges (like the Notch uses), but all of the Fastbacks and mid 66 on Square's got 2 bolt hinges. This does open the door (so to speak) of having more options on finding a really nice set of doors. _________________ Bob 65 Notch S with Sunroof

The upper for Square's and Notchbacks, yes, but I think the Fastback got it's own shape due to the "bendy glass" (I could be wrong here). The lower "B" post however is different from Square's and Fastbacks, along with Notchbacks), due to the rear trunk release handle (slot) in the extended indent (at the latch), on the left side of the car. The lower "B"posts are not mirror imaged on Fasty's and Notchbacks, like they are on a Square. _________________ Bob 65 Notch S with Sunroof

Pillars and posts to me are two different things. Pillars are the window area that sticks up. _________________ Немає виправдання для війни! Я з Україною.

Then we're on the same page then, as that was what I was describing. The "upper" was for the window opening to the rear. The "B" post is the door jamb rear area. "A" post is where the door hinges attach. _________________ Bob 65 Notch S with Sunroof

So I have a bit of a problem. I can't start doing body work on doors and quarters till I can convert it back to stock doors. To do that I need new A and B post. Does anyone have any they would be willing to sell, or know of someone that would be? |

Contact Joel (Boo-Koo-Z), or Mike Fisher. Either 1 should have something, and shipping shouldn't be an arm and a leg.
Keep in mind that you'll need at least a Fastback left rear door pillar (B post). It's for the trunk release set up.
Right side can be Fastback or Square. _________________ Bob 65 Notch S with Sunroof

You'll need them set up for 3 bolt hinges. _________________ Немає виправдання для війни! Я з Україною.
