Any idea what color the pockets were on a deluxe cab door panel in tan?

Were they grey? or tan? or something else? Who has an original set that can help me out?

I know grey panels were grey, just not looked that closely at the tan sets before.

thanks in advance

to my knowledge they should be painted in a color to match the vinyl used.
here is a reproduction version using an original as a pattern. The color looked closer in color than the photo appears.
sorry, I dont know how to make just the image show up so hopefully the links will work.

Great link..
Cant really see what i would like to know tho so..

Could someone please confirm if the interior side panels of a 54 deluxe should have the dark brown piping at the top most of each of the interior panels where it meets the headliner below the side windows?
Also is there dark brown piping on top of the bulkhead panel?? and in between the 4 strips?? (where the ashtray is) How wide (mm's) are the strips??
What about in the cabin??? i assume NO piping there...

Thanks.

The strips in the Bus above are 60mm wide each. Everywhere.

No piping up front.

There is piping between every strip.
4 strips - 5 total piping pieces.

On my bus above the piping is attached to the left side of each strip, with the last strip on the right being attached to the right side. So the right-most strip has a piece attached on both the left and right sides.

I found another photo

Thanks again Everett, thats of great help.
Ok so looks like i will need to go get some more piping tomorrow as though it didnt have any in between the strips.

Putting together the missing bits of the interior of a very OG RHD 54 and wanted to get it as close as possible to how it was. Will post up some pics when its done.

Thanks again for the help.
Eric.

i guess since its my photos, ill go ahead...

Id like to also note that as far as I can tell from interiors I have messed with . all Barndoor interior piping was black. Brown came later in the 55-58 deluxes. If I am wrong Id love to see a sample of original brown for barndoor.
