We would really like an earlier push button dash notch.
Bit couldn't pass this up.
Picked it up last Sunday.
Color is actually the very pale green. (color settings on camera is shite.)
Full logbooks and service history.
Engine number matches delivery card.
Only repaired panel appears to be right rear panel.
The Rest seems to be all original paint.
Only 2 areas of rust found so far.
Floors seem ok.
Enjoy.

Side trim like an S, everything else like an N. I love it.
Single carb or dual? Clock or clock delete?
More pictures, please. _________________

It's a nice car and a mixture of N/S.
It has an S rear emblem.
It has chrome vent wings like an S
No Pass side lock like an N
Short reflector housing and bullets up front Like an N (that could be debated depending on the market it was intended for)
It has wheel trim like an S and a later style muffler like for a 1600 engine. _________________ I'd be UNSTOPPABLE if not for Law Enforcement and PHYSICS.

Unless the "S" badge has been put on the rear of a standard 1965 1500 (N?) by someone in the past 47 years this is a 1965 1500S one year only Australian production. The only difference from the standard vehicle of the year was (a) one colour seat upholstery, (b) the S badge on the rear lid, (c) Twin carbs on the 7.8:1 CR engine and (d) wheel trims.
This S is nothing like the ones manufactured for Europe (which is the one that was available in the USA ). Very few of the German built 1500S cars came to Australia and these days Rocking Horse manure is more likely to be found! The Australian built model is now getting thin on the ground and is well worth restoring!!

Thanks everyone.
Here are a few more pics,.. 'As Found'
Note the wasp nests everywhere. (Evidence of dry storage, thank goodness!!)
So a one year only model. Cool! We didn't know that.
Yes it has a clock.
Yes it has one colour seats.
Yes it has twin Carb engine.
Yes it has wheel trims.
Plan is 'preservation.'
Clean it,..
attend to any rust we find,..
get it A1 mechanically,..
Restore the interior,.. (meaning saving everything possible.)
and enjoy it.

A good example of the Australian 1500 'S'.
As noted by Dallas, they were sort of basic like an 'N' but had the 100 mph speedo, dual carb engine (essentialy an M249 non domed piston engine), the 'S' badge on the rear and wheel trims and possibly interior.
Not many of these cars left here in Australia now. They were produced at Clayton, Victoria in response to the cost of importation of the German built 1500 'S' which was borderline ridiculous! Hence the reason the German assembled cars dont exist in quanitity in Australia.

The nice set of Books that came with our car.
There is also a bunch of receipts of work done over the past 15 years or so.
