Hopefully not too soon  I still have to get through college.
The Magnaflow exhaust that we put on the car is perfect for my liking. It idles at low decibels and isn't loud at low RPM's, but when you get on the throttle, you can hear the car coming from a mile away.
Before we can get it on the road we need to:
Mount the Front windshield
Mount the Rearview Mirror
Spray paint over some raw metal ( we left the car our for one evening and it surface rusted pretty bad)
The floor pan also rattles alot at high RPMs. Any tips to decrease that would be very much appreciated. |

I have a few more pictures of its first journey, but they won't load onto my computer. The only one that loads is this one:
It was awesome to finally get to drive the car! We need to get a different transmission though. Ours has a very short 2nd and 3rd gear, so the car is in 4th running around town.
We got the Speedometer working, and are about to figure out the tachometer. The car has already seen some dirt, and 90 MPH speeds. Soon it will see the school's parking lot.
We Dynamated all of the aluminium panels that were in the front of the car so now the rattling noise is tolerable... After our first trip in the car both of our ears felt like we had just left a rock concert because the rattling was so bad.
I don't think we are planning on painting the body any time soon, but we are going to need to paint all of the raw metal to prevent surface rust. |

Remember this???
"Although your engine mount seem to be sufficient enough to do the job, you might want to strongly consider taking the point where the mounts meet the frame rail and replace that part of the tube with a larger tube size that will accept some sort of poly bushing"
"With all those solid mount points I can guarantee the vibration you are going to experience "in car" is going to drive you out of yer skin!!! I have poly trans mounts as well as poly mounts on the engine and I still have a vibration that is annoying as heck"

Yea, I was 90% sure you were going to come back on here and give us an "I told ya so"
Since that experience we have dynamated most of the car and it has quieted down to a sufficient level. Tomorrow we are going to dynamat all of the plates around the rear bench seats.
Also, our fuel pump is incredibly noisy. It seems louder than the motor. Any tips on mounting it differently? |

We have put about 60 or so miles on the car (would be more but we are dealing with a fuel cell issue) and the EPS works very well. We wired it on a toggle so if desired it could be turned off. After some short around town test drives we headed up Hwy 33 above Ojai to see how the car handled the twisty stuff...
The steering with EPS/on has a lite, firm, positive feel and at varied speeds down long straits the car tracked perfectly and didn't wander. As I became more comfortable and trusting in the car I picked up the pace in the turns and once again the steering felt precise and very predictable. In the dirt the car handles like a dream, it feels like you could drive back roads all day without any fatigue. Looking forward to getting it out in the rough!
During part of the road test I turned the EPS/off and instantly felt the size and weight of the 33's at that instant the added cost, time to research and install the EPS was WORTH IT!!! More to come...

Wow, VERY nice car and build!!!!!!! I was wondering if she is running and staying cool with the radiator behind the eng? And do you have a fan pushing or pulling air thru it? |

| Yea it stays cool while we run it. The fan has only ever kicked on once and that was after we were running it hard for about an hour. I'm 90% sure the fan pulls air through the radiator. The placement of the radiator is working fine so far. |

We are at a bit of a rough point right now- The fuel tank that we have keeps splitting at the weld so we're going to need to do something about that. It happened for the second time yesterday so the car is in the garage taken apart... again.
On another note, It would be awesome if some of you guys could help me get a better grade in Government.
