Dang, some of those songs be O-L-D!!!!
Anyway, a couple obvious driving songs
Tom Cochrane - Life is a Highway
AC/DC - Highway to Hell
and Bruce Springsteen - Born to Run
also worth mentioning the Depeche Mode version of Route 66
A personal fav... Dwight Yoakam - Long White Cadillac
Lot's of others, but I don't need no tunes in my bug. |

Ouch, how can I forget Ol' 55 by Tom Waits (1973). Covered more famously of course by The Eagles in 1974. But in a VW, "now the cars are all passing me, trucks are all flashing me" is pretty much business as usual. |

Left out the best of the road songs... Sort of a road song anyway...
Uneasy Rider by Charlie Daniels...
There's also Going Mobile by the Who.
Probably another half-dozen will come to mind, after I hit "submit"...
The wife adds Danger Zone (Top Gun song) by Kenny Loggins... Watch out for tickets while playing this tune.

That triggered my memory of "Convoy" by C.W. McCall. Do any non-truckers still use CB radios? I haven't seen them advertised for sale in a long time.
