So I got this pressure plate in a bunch of parts from someone, as well as a Gene Berg HD pressure plate with the original receipt. This one looks exactly the same but its painted.. So I am assuming its just an HD pressure plate.

Problem is, the sheet that came w the other one says clutch needs to be 29-30 mm from the flywheel. My stock clutch measures 30. when I put this one on, it compresses a little. but still comes out 45-50mm! I crank the bolts down like the sheet says and I get it down to 30, but then the plate isn't putting any pressure on the disc and it's just flopping around.

Am I missing something here? or is this the wrong plate? put the stock back on for now. thanks for looking

Cant ID but maybe the diaphram (sp?) is bad in the pressure plate? Disc too thin? flywheel worn down too much?
