Is the problem with 1&2 like the subject line says or is it 1&4? Are you running a single carb or dual setup? Are the plugs carbon fouled, oil fouled, combination of both? What do the other two plugs look like? Are all the plugs the same type and manufacture? How old are the ignition leads? |

How do the other two plugs look? What brand & part number plugs are you running? |

Chances are those plugs may be too cold of a heat range for the buggy, I'd try running a hotter plug like an Autolite 425 or NGK BR5HS.
Are the other two plugs also black? If so, you may want to readjust your mixture and check for proper choke operation. |
