Quality over price is more important in this case. Thanks! [/code]

I have a much more extensive list of sites at home than here at work ... but I have found the following helpful:

http://www.klassicfab.com/ they make body metal parts
http://www.carnut.com/specs/gen/vw60.html great general reference site
http://www.mtmfg.com/catalog/volkswagen/beetle?gclid=COyVlO-sr7cCFSHhQgodP0UAUw
http://www.autohausaz.com/volkswagen-auto-parts/index.html?gclid=CNeRvfisr7cCFa9fQgodzF8AYQ
https://www.bugcity.com/
https://shop.westcoastmetric.com/index.php
http://www.wolfsburgwest.com/
http://www.airheadparts.com/

Those were NOT in an particular order, other than sequence of when found maybe!

I have used and do like aircooled.net, however, he does tend to go for what we used to call "premium pricing" ... or "whatever the market will bear" is another way to spin it ...

depending on what you're looking for, try www.doghouserepair.com I've worked with phil over there and he is a stand up guy highly recommended. Small shops need business too!

I'll second www.bugcity.com as a good source for genuine VW parts if you don't mind paying. I ordered a genuine German front apron from them and the guy who was doing my body work said it was excellent quality. My last large order was from www.cip1.com and like most of the larger VW websites some of it was good and some of it was crap, but it was mainly just stuff like fender beading so I didn't really mind.
A couple of others to consider: www.bughaus.com (pretty close to me, been there in person a few times and liked what I bought
ANother one (based in Canada) is www.germansupply.com - they seemed to be the only place anywhere that had replacement mounting studs for my autostick control valve.

In addition to those mentioned above, I've been quite pleased with Antonio in Mexico City for OEM VW parts. He's in the classifieds here.

I have been ordering hard parts from Jeff Lain at KaddieShack and the immediate responses I have gotten on questions before ordering...has been fantastic.
I ordered P/Cs and Dizzy on the first order and it arrived in quick fashion and everything is working perfectly.
I am in the process of ordering shocks and sway bars from KaddieShack now and have already received a response from Jeff to questions I sent him yesterday about the costs etc...
Great service.

When my local shop doesn't have it, I like aircooled.net. He is marginally more expensive, but when I call I get a human being, and more importantly an answer! To me this is worth the buck or more he charges.

I have also used cp1, and wolfsburg with favorable results.
