|
|
Well everyone, I need some help. I painted my VW today and it looks pretty terrible. There are a few runs on it. Does anyone know if you can sand down the runs? The paint also looks uneven. Is there anything you can do about that? I used a very high gloss paint on it. I'm just not too happy about the job I did and I'm hoping that I can fix these problems to make them look a little more presentable. Any help will be appreciated. Not wanting to drop him in it, but you could do worse than have a word with Chillkoot. He's given some good advice before. _________________ Rob

Ok well it has been sitting since noon today. I just didn't keep the gun the same distance away at all times and I also applied too thick of a coat. Tomorow I was going to apply another coat. I hope this is enough info. Thanks alot. _________________ <-------My Super Beetle is finally done!!!!!! |

wow.. sorry.
My advice...
sand smooth and top coat the whole car.. sand the WHOLE CAR..(looked orange peely too...) sand with like 6-700 g.
wait 24 hours befor you sand...
and it is to late to just paint over now. _________________ While we all hate POH ... Don't be Apathitic to CURRENT owner hacks.
