Last month we saw Crosby, Stills and Nash at the Civic Theater. Always an excellent show and they sound great! _________________ Prosit!

I havent been to any major shows lately, just a lot of local bands that are excellent. I will say, last night on David Letterman, Willie Nelson and Billy Joe Shaver, with my friend Nick Gaitan playing stand-up bass. He plays every show he can, literally filling in for other bass players, and plays in his own band, Nick Gaitan & The Umbrella Man. Kind of a big deal for a downtown Houston regular
A great up and coming band from Houston, The Suffers are friends of mine and starting to get national notoriety. If you like live music, check this one out. Seriously:

I saw Lucero this weekend, been wanting to see them for a while now. The Mighty Souls Brass Band opened for them and that was a lot of fun. _________________ "Veedubers is some strange folk." Bob Hoover

So a little rant about ticket sales. How is it that when tickets go on sale at Ticket Masters at 10:00am can they be sold out before 10:01am and then be on Stubhub at 10:02am for twice the amount! This happen twice to me trying to get tickets for Steely Dan and Greg Allman. Preferred customer my ass! Who can tell me how that can even be legal? _________________ Prosit!

Little update - my friends - the Suffers were on David Letterman and killed it. Dave paid them the ultimate comment right after "If you can't do that - get out of the business"
