I saw blues guitarist Joe Bonamassa at the Paramount back in April. Great concert! Funny most of the audience was middle aged, over the hill or retired. Shocked

I havent been to a big one since last year, pepper, dirtyheads, sublime with rome. It was ok, we got there late and missed most of pepper, who is really who I wanted to see.

I've been to a ton of little ones lately, all local Houston bands at really cool venues. Journey Agents, LosSkarnales, UmbrellaMan, the Suffers, Paul Ramirez band, all awesome local musicians at little bars and clubs

Love McCurtry. Wish he would venture this far north. Was fortunate to be able to see Wayne Hancock not too long ago and looking forward to seeing him this summer on tour with Reverend Horton.

Lesser known bands in small venues is definitely the best way to experience a show. Big arena shows do nothing for me anymore.

Now I just wish Left Lane Cruiser and The Bonnevilles would make their way to the Northwest.

I used to work in a 1200 seat venue in Detroit and would see the cycle of playing the small rooms, going to bigger rooms and a few years later back to the smaller rooms.

We did get bigger bands that just wanted toi play a small room which was always cool to see.

I saw Tool at the Gorge a few years back, and it was fantastic. But the Gorge is now owned by some corporate entity, and I have no intention of going there again after the way the concert goers were treated at the show. It was so much better as a family owned venue. The Lollapalooza shows were really amazing to see there.

Just saw Kenny Wizz over the weekend. It was very entertaining and the wife really enjoyed it , but I wouldn't go again.

The Friday after next I am taking the Mrs. to her first concert. Going to see Lonestar at the local casino, row 5 seats 1 and 2.

In October the day after her birthday I got tix to see Jason Aldean and Jake Owen about 10 rows back. Haven't been to a concert in ages but I couldn't pass up a good deal Wink

Seen it. It's just a stage show and while I like the early stuff, I lost interest in the 80's. The newer stuff seems to sound the same to me and that was most of the show.

Saw Lynyrd Skynyrd recently (or at least what's left of them). They put on a good show with lots of energy.

I just read about that this morning. My wife is there right now, so I told her to go check it out. She was in college during the Sub Pop/Grunge years, and knows most of the bands pretty well since she lived in Spokane at the time. She saw many shows in Spokane, then had beers and grub with the band members after the show.

We have this thing in Denver called "Underground Music Showcase" that is next weekend....I literally can't wait. It's like 300+ bands at 10 venues or so. I am super stoked to see those chicks from California in their band "Bleached".

Last year was insane, and the Cloud Nothings basically stole the whole show on Thursday....nobody topped that set.

Depends on how far back you want to go. I think it was last year I saw Symphony X. Couple of back alley metal concerts around the end of the year. Recently I was supposed to go to a Orange Goblin concert in Boston but ended up having to work. When I was in Montreal back in March I found my way into a HolloW concert which was way better than I thought it was going to be.
