I remember in college, a guy and his wife were telling me (mid-80's, they were huge GD fans) that Prince was the opening act for Grateful Dead. He came out in all his purple glam, boots above his knees, jacket with lots of fluff on the collar, etc. Got things thrown at him and boo'd. They decided to pull him off stage. Wasn't working. Major TILT! Who was the Mensa nerd behind him opening for a DeadHead concert? _________________ Like us on Facebook! http://www.facebook.com/MotherLodeVWClub

Just seen RUSH this weekend... twice! Best concerts I've seen in a very long time... probably ever! Hard to believe these guys are 60+ yrs old. Unbelievable musicianship. _________________ Joey

My most recent concert was that of Lamb of God, A month ago.
That show was amazing!
My only regret was that I missed the three songs I wanted to hear. I had to step outside to get fresh air and quench my dry throat.
I wish I can see them again, soon. _________________ "In case I don't see you, good afternoon , good evening, and goodnight."

Went and saw Little Big River last week. Nobody worthwhile ever really comes to this Podunk town, so I had too. _________________ - '81 Fed Vanagon L |

10th anniversary Christmas Rocks tour tickets are currently on sale. Venues are being added often....if you like old rock and roll with some 40s swing big band influence all led by a master guitar genious ...do not mis it... Truly nothing else like it out there. That's what makes it so great.. (check out you tube for some examples)
I have our tickets already... I'm freaking stoked.....12th row Hotlanta baby... If Charlotte is added....Ill be there too....
Yeah.... I'm a huge fan....... .

For us country music folk, lonestar put on a hell of a show the other night. It was literally like they were just singing infront of a bunch of friends and family, very down to earth bunch of guys. They cracked jokes and walked down off stage into the crowd several times, hand shakes, high fives, you name it. There was a lady in the back shouting something about it being her bachelorette party and the lead singer invited all 8 ladies up on stage to dance while he sang the next song. He said he had met a woman at the casino (whom which immediately stood up and waived at him) and he even remembered her and her husband's name. She wanted him to play a certain song (Amazed, duh) and so when they left stage and came back for the encore he pulled up a chair right infront of the couple and sang the song for them. I don't think I've been to a more honest down to earth show in my life. Seats were great too in Row 5 seats 1 and 2 lol.
Terrible Cell phone pic but you get the idea...

I saw a veritable who's who of bad 90's alt-rock on RAGBRAI last week. Better than Ezra, Sponge, Filter, Live and Everclear. Better than Ezra was by far the most entertaining... _________________ Wish List:

Just saw Chicago last night. Really enjoyed the show (except for the assholes right behind me) and Jason Scheff was great. He sang solo "What kind of a man would I be?" as a tribute to his Grandmother Victory who raised him a couple of miles away. It brought tears to my wifes eyes. _________________ Prosit!

His grandmothers name was Victory? That's one I've never heard. |
