Bob Dylan, My Morning Jacket, Wilco, and Bob Weir. Dylan's voice is now gritty and he has holes in his vocal range, however his newer material is very very good and his band is hot. Regardless of Dylan's voice, I always got and enjoyed where his melodies were going musically. _________________ '82 Vanagon GL with 2.0 4-speed. Long term plan is to turn it into a camper. |

Went and saw the Monkees last night at Humphreys. Fun show and we had a great time. We even ran into a couple we hadn't seen sense High School. _________________ Prosit!

Queens of the Stone Age, last night at Red Rocks. The best show I have seen in quite a long time. I was/am a huge Kyuss fan and have been into QOTSA/Desert Sessions, since their inception, so I'm kind of biased, but it was seriously a killer show. Even after going to shows at Red Rocks for 25 years, I am still blown away by how it is the best damn venue for a show on this planet. Feel good hit of the summer indeed. _________________
And my first shop was in Germany.
|

I hope you aren't complaining ho-dad, she is a major hottie! How was the show, she has a killer voice.
Last show I went to was Portugal The Man, and it rocked! Had been waiting to see them for quite awhile. Going to see Delta Spirit next month, pumped about that one! |

Oh no - enjoyed EVERYTHING about the show! She does have a great voice and stage presence - she should be a bigger act than she is. _________________ '69 SingleCab

Sarah Jarosz at the Portland Zoo a week or so ago. My daughter went up and introduced herself after the set we ended up chatting with Sarah and her band after her set. Nice young lady and very talented singer/songwriter. |

Saw Tool back in March when they opened the recent tour with a show in Spokane, WA. Good show, as I expected, but hoped they might play something new. The highlight of the show was scoring some backstage passes from a lady that turned out to be Justin's wife (bass player). Got to meet Danny and Adam. Couldn't stick around too long so I don't know if Maynard or Justin made it to the VIP room or not.
That was fun, and I still chuckle a little when I think about it. I have met Danny before, and he is a consummate gentleman, and really tall. _________________ nothing |

I am waiting for Peter Hook and the Light to visit the NC area while they are covering his first band, not the later years. Saw Black Flag but waiting for Keith Morris and Flag to come south... not sure about the Vallely thing. DJ Kool was here but couldn't make it. He is touring with Doug E Fresh now so look for dates this month. _________________ " ... he walked the pavement of the city- a beggar and a king. Has it been otherwise with any man?" WOLFE
