Hi,

Here is a scan of the original VW color code sheet:
Image may have been reduced in size. Click image to view fullscreen.

The original resolution is low but IMO it reads:

L70 Medium Brown
18.5 parts LM80
28 parts LM40
30.2 parts LM61
23.2 parts LM70

L73 Chestnut Brown
61.4 parts LM40
7.6 parts LM61
28 parts LM50
3 parts LM80

Hope it is correct! Feedback is welcome Smile

Have a nice day!
DavidJean

I looked up a translation for Tropfen, which means drop. Does the above code mean 100 parts white, a drop of black and a drop of central blue? How are drops measured in such a case?

The Glasurit color online works well for all the Volkswagen formulas, in all lines. Just enter Volkswagen in the manufacturer, then go to the color name section and scroll through 'til you find your color. Click on the color, click on the line, click on the variation (standard, lighter, darker) and it spits out the formula in volumes based on the size of car you need. Works well.

Here is what I came up with from the site for you.

Kalaharibeige L343: LINE 22 PAINT
MC35 208.8 grams
M60 723.6
M5 146.1
M26 105.4
M146 54.4
A346 10.7

Hope that helps? I'm not a painter so it all looks greek to me.

Gordo.

It is odd to navigate the pages.

www.glasurit.com/uk

Top right corner...color online tab

click ok for any pop ups about the page color online.

choose volkswagen as manufacturer

choose line 22 as paint line

put your paint code in L358

and it comes up as Granatrot 1958-59

click on it

choose your paint line, hit next and a new page opens with your formula.

Hope that helps.

Gordo.

Okay, I think I got it.

When I click Print it gives me these options to click on: (which do I click before I print it)?

Single step
Complete formula
Multiple quantities
Multiple quantities (PDF)

Thanks for your help,

that would depend on what line you choose. Line 22 is a single stage so the whole thing is a single step.
