Any shop that uses RM or Glasurit can get the formula, no listing with dupont _________________ Air and Water are needed to survive,

Capri Blue L335
Find somewhere that sells RM or Glasurit near you and they can mix it. _________________ Air and Water are needed to survive,

Glasurit no longer has a formula for that colour (at least not in Canada)
I can't even get a listing.
Not that it helps you, but I can find L351 KORALLENROT, L353 BRILLANTROT (formula N/A) and L354 KARDINAL ROT MET.
No luck with Dupont either... only an obsolete Dulux code ICM404
Sorry.
your best bet is if you have a panel with existing paint and take it to an autobody supply store and have them scan the colour and match it.
You could also try contacting them directly

Good luck. _________________ Air and Water are needed to survive,

Ocker is Ochre
Yellow ochre is a pigment made from hydrated iron oxide.
Red ochre is the same but reddened through heating
Brown ochre is a partially hydrated inro oxide (rust)
I don't know which one was used in the formulas |

|
Does anyone know how I could obtain the correct mixing formula for the "L213 Island Green" in (PPG) brand.
I have tried several PPG distributors, but none of them seem to be able to help me, or do I have to purchase Glasurit paint to be able obtain the exact color match.
I live in the Los Angeles area, so if anyone knows of a PPG paint store that's familiar with VW color formulas, please let me know.
Regards,

If several PPG places don't have it's likely not in their database.. so none of them will have it.
Couldn't find it in Dupont either.
Checked some others and Standox has the formula, Glasurit has it, RM has it in B/C and single stage. _________________ Air and Water are needed to survive,

Can't help you there, you'll have to pull out the yellow pages in your area
and look under 'automobile body shop equipment and supplies'
googled it for you
http://www.google.ca/search?q=automobile+body+shop...S:official
probably faster through yellow pages
or you can try emailing this guy
[email protected]
and asking for the closest jobber. _________________ Air and Water are needed to survive,

Maaco has their own private label paint, if you use them they will match it to a color chip, they will likely have a color fan to choose your paint from, or they might be able to match it to a vw paint code.
As a side note I don't know of a stock color in '72 that I would call candy apple red.
L30B kansas red (72)
L30E Bahia Red (70-71)
L31F Iberian red (71)
L31H Chianti Red (71)
some solid reds
Possibly Colorado Red Met? (70-72)
L97d a dark red metalic? _________________ Air and Water are needed to survive,

Even back in 1964, they did not have a formula for Cognac.......

Hi
Looking for L41 black formula.
I couldn't find it on glasurit's website , they only have L43.
Actually i need it for my 66 bug as i noticed that L41 is the correct black 66's.
Anybody help? what's the difference between L41 & L43?
Thanks |
