I got my local BASF guys to reference the L-464 color. I'll try to post the formulation in a few days!

How about the name and code or formula for the beige/tan color found inside the 51 52 deluxe split beetle? The color is on the seat frames, shifter, parking brake, steering wheel, and steering column.

Gents,

I'm looking for some specialist help with Glasso vintage colours please.

I'm restoring a 1956 Porsche 356A coupe. The paint code is Glasso 842 Grun according to the factory.

However, it doesn't appear to correspond to the only Porsche green used in 1956, Lago Green Metallic.

I've been on the 356registry forum, but no help has been forthcoming. I've also been on Glasurit.com and emailed them direct.

Can anyone help, or point me in the right direction?

The car is a total rust bucket, so no samples available either Sad

All help appreciated.
Chris

Has anybody had a issue spraying a clear coat on a L87 base? My painter has done this twice and both times it has darkened the pearl white, at least 1 shade. It's not to noticeable but I see it, as does he. I'm not sure what paint he is using but I'm taking my truck back again tomorrow to have a paint rep look at it.
Now he wants to clear the entire truck, which I'm not cool with.
Any input would be of help.

Glasurit has for VW cars only Sahara Beige L80Z from 1973-1975 :
https://coloronline.glasurit.com/index.php?language=8
There is also a mixing formula from an old VW catalog that has very low resolution and therefore difficult to read the numbers but don't know if it can be of any use today in any case :

here you go.
https://www.glasurit.com/uk/find-colour-code-glasurit-color-online

Click the colour online box. close any other window that pops up, enter your code and enter volkswagen as manufacturer, then start search. select your line and there is your formula. the L272 is dates 2009 , hope that recent enough for you.

Gordo.
