Big Bill, how much por 15 to do the floor? Did it take a pint or quart? |
I had a quart, but did a few other items as well. The paint really goes a long way, I brushed it on and after it dries the finish is amazing. I am not sure a pint would do the cargo floor, dont get any paint on the can lip you will not be able to get it off ask me how I know. Had to go cave man on the lid to use the remaining paint in the can. |
And make sure whatever container you use has a tight lid. I lost about a pint that hardened in the container because the jar had a loose lid. Expensive mistake..... _________________ Happy to be alive. Hey Dad, Mom, wish you were here to see all this.

Saw this whilst reading about Kitty Hair over on the Paint/Body forum:
http://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/viewtopic.php?t=83877&highlight=wax+paper
Scroll to keifernet's comment:
"If your going to store it ( in case you need it someday) heres a tip ( that also works for bondo) Cut a piece of wax paper and set it in the can over the top of the filler... keeps the shit fresh for alot longer shelf life."
Wonder if it works with POR15? _________________ 1960 grey panel |

POR15 site tells you to use saran wrap between can and lid, then store in fridge. _________________ SPL

Loaded the panel up with a bunch of stuff from the garage and hit a local swap meet. Nice to clean out the garage and make a few bucks, almost everybody that came by had an interesting VW related story. Cant belive just how quite the bus was loaded to the gills with boxes and containers, not real heavy but bulky stuff.

Another angle. A nice Westy or BBT re-pro tent would have been nice.

Sorry I didn't see your question earlier. If you look over in the Big Meats thread, its in there. But since you asked here, they are 217/75R15 BFG All Terrain KO's. I'm glad you like the way they look as much as I do. Whenever people see the bus at shows, the tires are usually the first thing that are commented about. I love the way they fill out the wheel wells.... |

Co-pilot had a good time also. Nice to be living in the Bay Area again, and be able to attend the local shows.

Here's my contribution. The traditionalists will hate it, but the customizers might appreciate it more.
Five years of blood, sweat, tears (and a few bad words) and this is what I have.
It's like a pet.....you're really the only one who truly loves it!!!

Here's mine. First time she's been out since 2004. She's a double door swivel. I am focusing on getting everything working correct, which is the worn shifting parts. Picture was taken by rareair at the classic.
