Yeah, that's what I was thinking. The castings for the springplates and center torsion section would seem to be extremely difficult to reproduce.

Now, if only it was possible to stamp an entire roof...

Awesome Gerson as always. I don't remember if I asked you this before but does Wagens west do regular bus beams and you do the modifications? What mods do you do to make them work on the BD chassis?

finally put the chassis under what is left of the og body....this coming week we will start getting the new pillars welded to the chassis...the heat is on to get this thing in the container by the end of Sept.

here is part of what goes in the trash bin while doing a full resto on the typical Colombian BD...buyer beware!!!! if you think you can buy on of these buses and do some small repairs and be done, you are going to be disappointed, pissed off and maybe even divorced... Laughing Laughing Laughing

on this bus we are mostly using a regular miller handheld, we also have a water cooled computer controlled Spanesi and an old Lenco...

i´ll bet Volkswagen build them up in the same time back in 1950´s.
