|
|
Hi Guys! I'm from a small town in north Italy, near to Turin (The home town of Fiat and of course, Abarth), and I found this beautiful exhaust.
Uploaded with ImageShack.com
It remind me the Abarth...but there are some big difference as you can see... I even don't know if its for 30hp or 34hp...I bought it for my '64 beetle with 1385 engine kit...but now I'm thinking of selling it.

Have you got some info about that? It's look too good for an "home made" exhaust! On the 4 pipe, under the ruined paint, it's all chrome (I'm guessing).

And as you can see there is a sticker with "Volkswagen" on it...

I wrote 30 or 34 hp because here in Europe call the 6v 1200cc engine "34cv"... And the early 1200 "30cv"....I'm guessing in the USA it's called 30 and 40hp. Sorry about that _________________ Nel dubbio...accelera! |

it is abarth, and it is 36hp. however it is for 60, early 61 only after trans mounts were tipped up 2 degrees for 60 model year. it will fit 59 and earlier 36hp but the tips will hang lower than normal. this exhaust is a rare bird, id sell it for no less than 1200.00. dont let someone _ _ _ you down |

doesn't look like a 36 hp by the way the heat riser bolts up. 36 hp are offset |

Definitely looks like an Abarth, I had one on my Porsche 356A. The only difference I see are the VW exhaust port hook-up's _________________ 1960 Beetle And 1679cc DP W-100 & Dual Zeniths! |

Yes and one is longer than the other just like a stale air 40 HP muffler, where as they are the same length on a 36 HP muffler |

With those weird triangles embossed and an oval body, I don't think its an Abarth. |
