Currently on a road trip.
2 Found near Hershey Pennsylvania
Smoked Bar & Grill
1201 West Chocolate Ave
Route 422
Hummelstown, PA 17036
Off the grid a lil' outside doesn't represent the inside. Nice people, atmosphere, great food and Microbrews.....
Holihan's
27 W Chocolate Ave
Hershey, PA 17033
More high end and downtown. Food was great.
On the road again... back home to Jersey..
10th Ave. Burrito Co.
801 Belmar Plaza
Belmar, NJ 07719
In all fairness.. I snagged this one from Guy's DDD as we were close.
Awesome atmosphere, all our food was super, wings were fantastic, no real Micro's but loads of Tequila to choose from. Way too many people working there and the service quite didnt represent.. it was a late night though...
Heading to Seaside Park Boardwalk for a Cheese steak today..... already had Jersey Pizza Pie on Wed night.....mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

ahh so you are in NJ? Good for you! 10th ave burrito is good. My buddy sells booze to them _________________ July 1959 Mango Standard Bus aka Obus L346 L347 https://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/viewtopic.php?t=256592&highlight=

1500 + miles down.. and back to NC...
Back safe... even though I picked up some crap Jersey fuel near N Toms River.
2 fuel filters, 2 Heet additives, and Marvel to the tank... plus Turnpike running got that shit burned out by the time we hit the Mason Dixon...
Adding a couple from where else but Jersey.... for get about it..
Known about this one.. just figure Ill add it as we always partake with da family.
Some of the best fried chicken in the world.
Not greasy.. not heavy..
Chicken Holiday
441 atlantic city blvd., berkeley shopping center
Bayville NJ.
Add a lil Tabasco or Franks... done..
And got a tip on this one...
Richards Sub World and Deli..
299 Atlantic City Blvd,
Bayville, NJ 08721
I walk in.. 10 + locals in line.. Owner on the meat slicer... 4 guys "building"
As a guy walks in behind me.. I hear..from the owner...
"A yo... Joey usez wants da regular"
I knew... that was the right place...
Ahhhhh .. so good to be home....
Was told get the Roast Beef.... but I have my own favorite
24 inch Ham, Salami, Capicola, Provolone, L,T,O, Cherry Peppers, Pickes and Oil and Vinegar.... holy shit.... awesomeness...
Had some Jersey Pizza Pie... and of course we went to the Seaside Boardwalk.. what a difference after Sandy..wow... sad but still kickin'
And shocked to see my favorite "Stewart's Root Beer" stand on 37 recently was torn down (and business moved across the bridge).... its not the same...
New does not mean better.......

I agree food at Stewarts eh'.. not what it was 10-20 years ago... but I do like the floats...
Im a pain in the Ass when it comes to fuel... 99% of the time insist to buy name brand......
We had to drive my truck as we delivered and traded some Convertible parts to complete a 6 month deal to a Samba member in Virginia on the way to Jersey via Penn (Hershey Park).
We were heading to Great Adventure on Thursday for the day and there was a WaWa..(go figure) on 37 NW before 70 .. topped off my truck and it ran ok until it settled overnight and... then it went to T Total shit the next morning..
The way my truck was surging and popping I felt it was either bad fuel or a bad Mass Air Flow sensor.. going with my gut (25+ year and current GM Tech) pulled the filter in a Pep Boys parking lot to find it full of shit (less than year old)..
My guess the water and crap settled in the typical puddle near the pump sump...
So um.... purged it a bit... ... changed the filter, added the Heet, disconnected the MAF to put it in speed density mode (bypass MAF) and drove it until it cleared up some.. Added Marvel ( to help lube and counter effect the Alcohol).
Reconnected the MAF leaving Jersey (Sat Night) and topped off with GOOD fuel in Pennsy and drove the rest of the 650 home.
WaWa =.... no fuel for me.. as a matter of fact... Ill top of in other states that I can pump myself...

Was talking to a buddy about the bluegrass fest in Galax, VA and was reminded of this joint:
http://thegalaxsmokehouse.com/
Fabulous bbq and they smoke their baked potatoes...mmm...
Which of course reminded me of this iconic eatery right down the street in Mayberry, er, Mt. Airy, NC (sorry if this is a repost):

ho-dad ^ had asked me about places in the Asheville NC area.
Here is an exerpt...
Asheville NC = Very diverse and eclectic town. Plenty of Hippies, bums and good people too!.. = just a warning.
Its nicknamed the cesspool of sin... soooooo..... watch out for bible thumpers.. Always someone shouting near the "free speach" area...
(WTF isnt it in America.... )
Just about anything main downtown is good.
Best to park in the parking structure on College Street... and head toward downtown.
I can personally speak of 2 right off my bald head.
Tupelo Honey Cafe' (now one in Charlotte too)
and
Mayfels' (on the list already)
If anyone likes Hibachi Japanese = Ichiban over near the Biltmore Estate (and thats a good day trip too!!) .
Always buy the local Highland Brewery beer....NOTHING bad.
Take the Brewery tour... well worth the trip.. free samples too!!!..
Carolina Cigar Company downtown if anyone likes a good stick every once in a while.

When I could eat at places, one of my favs was
Chicago Pasta House in Moreno Valley, So Cal.
Their deep dish pizza pie was bloody DELICIOUS !
The smells emanating form the kitchen would drive
a person nuts. Sure miss it and SO wish I could go again.
