That's right, once again it's "Talk Like a Pirate" day today. So at tonight's baseball game at PNC in Pittsburgh (4pm Pacific time on MLB Extra Innings), you'll see way more attendees in traditional Pirate garb than usual. I saw the Sept. 19 game last year, the outfits get more outrageous.
When first told about "this day" about 10 years ago, thought I was being yanked !!! But it's a big day especially in Pittsburgh for the Pirates fans.
So much for you folks who thought that Pirates of the Caribbean referred only to Clemente, Sanguillen, Marte, Polanco, etc. |
Mateys, Pirates won 4-2 in comeback, eighth inning 3-run home run by Russell Martin. So Pittsburghers had lots to celebrate after the sellout win !!! So a great day for us Pittsburgh natives. Garrrr !!! Feel like cutting off my left hand and getting a hook installed (metric thread, of course).
