Here's a photo of my car sitting in the garage.
The L324 Polar Silver paint and all of the chrome are now 56 years old, and are factory original to the car.
I have owned this car for over 35 years, and I purchased her from the estate of the original owner in 1978. The mileage is now a little over 13,000 miles, and everything is factory original from May of 1957, with the exception of the battery, ignition coil. fuel tap, master cylinder and wheel cylinders, and the tires.
Most of the photos I have shot of the car over the years are on film, so I'm slowly starting to shoot some digital images. I will post more as they become available. _________________ Factory original 1957 Type 1 Deluxe Sedan, with 13,000 miles. I purchased her from the estate of the original owner in 1978. Color: L324 Polar Silver, with light beige leatherette interior, dealer-installed Dehne fuel gauge and Motorola Volumatic radio.

Hello, Bruce...
Your car is a true Survivor in every sense of the word. In today's vintage car world, "Survivor" is a term used for cars like yours, only yours beats the mark by 100% in both Originality (more than 50% factory parts in good condition) and Survivorship. As such, it is worth much more, in dollars, and certainly in quality, than an identical car that has been restored. Your car is the mark by which all other '57s should be compared. That's what "Original" and "Survivor" mean.
Congratulations!

Exceptional car - please add close-up photos of everything!! What is the color of the intake manifold looks dark or blackish rather than the gray colors we see so often. Also would appreciate a close up of a wheel with a portion of the fender / body color for reference. |

x2.
I'm currently building a polar silver 57 ragtop and would love photos of the details on your car, especially the under hood area. |

Cool to see a black intake manifold. I really used to think they were all grey. |
Phosphate coating with bare jacket was standard up to 62 then went to gray. |
