Changed up a few things and scored a full set of jungle green fenders. Went to chrome safaris and side popouts. And scored an Aussie hood rocket.

I am normal not a huge fan of these wheels but on your car they work well.
Are the jungle green front fenders still a work in progress or did you strip the pain all they way down? _________________ 1957 Oval rag

thanks I like them on this car also.
lol in progress of sorts yes
bought and paid for jungle green fenders $700 for all 4 - bought June 23
2 months of dealing with the fucktard shipper who charged me $365 to ship final shipped August 17.
Greyhound lost them which only actually cost $78 to ship
after repeated attempts and a threat of lawsuit they should up October 31st.
was the best worst day every. happy as fuck my once in a life time jungle green fenders finally should up only to find out some jackass painted original diamond green fender dark green at some point. I don't think I have ever past back and forth in my garage so much in my life beyond pissed off. I actually for a day wish they never should up. _________________ Jeremy

Hey LooseNuts,
Bummer about the fenders, but it looks like you made some sweet lemonade.
I saw your car this fall at the Apple Valley show, looks great. A lot of people try to build cars of this style, yours is one of the very best.

Yeah its a great little show, I recently started attending again after a long absence. Who knows, if the work on my car goes well this winter I might even put it in the show next year. |

Update on the car.
I gave the car to my daughter for 18th birthday/graduation gift. She is now the proud owner of the oval, title transfer and all. Love you Taylor!!!

Lucky young lady there! Here's an interesting little mystery for y'all. this is my December 1955, so model year 1956 original paint, pastel green oval.
It wasn't titled until mid February 1956 was delivered to Washington state but titled in Los Angeles from a Lakewood dealership. Here's the reason it belongs in this topic:
That's jungle green under the pastel green, but only on the bonnet no where else on the car. The birth certificate states that it is a pastel green car. The paint inside the bonnet is still 100% pastel green but I'm confident that there is jungle green underneath.
My guess is that some damage occurred in transit and the car ended up in Los Angeles for/after a repaint of the hood. I have all the documentation from new to late 1991. the second owner installed a type III engine in it and it blew after only 300 miles, then sat for a few years before I acquired it. I am the third owner. This is the SoCal slow drag multi year winning car. _________________ Roads Scholar &

Where did you get the dark green canvas ragtop if I may ask? I've been searching and most places only have Black, dark brown, beige and dark blue. _________________ 1956 Oval/Ragtop |
