My Uncle and I have been working on this project on and off for two years now. I'm trying to figure out how to post pics on here. So here is the build so far[img]https://www.thesamba.com/vw/[img]https://www.thesamba.com/vw/gallery
A little history on this car.My Uncle Darius bought this bug in 1996. It was a Texas car , so it didnt have alot of rust to begin with.I was 16 at the time and was working on my first car, a 77 standard bug that another Uncle(Bob) had gave me. Darius had kept this bug in his garage this whole time.He replaced the floor pans, front apron, and the front fenders. He also did bodywork all over most of the car before I bought it from him. Two years ago he told he needed room, and was thinking about selling the project. I hesitated buying it at first. I didnt have a garage. I have young kids and two jobs,it didnt seem possible but I wanted it. A few weeks later I was talking with him and he mentioned that he hadnt had any calls on it from Craigslist it hit me that he was really selling the 67 and I told him to pull the add.
Well the body remained in his garage until now,and we worked on it together. Its been fun so far and still have a long way to go,but its getting there. More to come.

Looks like nice paint work and the car looks like it has a lot of potential. _________________ Jason
