http://youtu.be/GrFrrbbncL0

http://youtu.be/fae2gHi20fE

http://youtu.be/L1PKfK_BaWE

car spec:

VW 1303 beetle 1972

engine

2002 subaru wrx sti (bugeye model) ej207 sti engine VF35 turbo
engine is stock
ecu: 2002 sti jdm ecu (i used jdm ecu because no need of immoblizer and keys instead of euro models)
ecu is ecutek remapped to 98 oct fuel and runs around 1,5 bar boost
should have at least 325hp+. it is not been on the dyno yet
rev.limit 7800rpm
i can get 120klm (75mph) in second gear Wink

exhaust:
custom made 3" stainless steel with 2 magnaflow 4" mufflers
i'm driving with DB-killers it is now 2 times 2,25"
but it has no influence on the power or spool up of the turbo
but driving without db killers makes it like a rally car sound
there is a youtube link above

gearbox:

porsche 911(964) G50.03 5 speed gearbox incl shifter
that is modified to custom shifting linkage

clutch adapter kit

KEP: adapter kit
sachs stock 911 pressure plate
and high performance 6 puck kep clutch plate
spec can hold up to +/- 850nm

suspension

front: fk-coil overs
944 hubs and brake discs
porsche boxster brembo calipers
custom made steering arms/rods
custom made stabilizer bars(cupstrebe
rear: 944 suspension arms and brake discs
porsche boxster brembo calipers
custom made stabilizer bars(cupstrebe)
red9design uniball system
spax-coilovers

wheels/rims: steel rims 16inch rear245/45/16 front215/35/16
pre 65 chrome covers

fenders front fully steel: front widened 2,5cm 1 inch
rear widened 6,5cm 2,5inch

fully roll cage incl doorbars
2 gt3 racing seats
4 point belts
omp steering wheel

2002 sti instrument cluster
boost, oil pressure and oil temp gauges.

and much more

i have to do some little things on the interior
and polish the paint
and i need to make a front splitter
because when doing around 200klm (125mph)
it is getting to search on the road a i need to do little
corrections just like in old porsche
when putting a good splitter underneath
i has to do better and i can test it on the autobahn next year
(i'm from holland and live 15klm from the autobahn ;D )

hope you like it

greets

Johan M

Cool what are the vents at the front fenders about? For looks or do they do something?

to let the air flow easier out underneath the car that is build up after
the radiator that is under the front bonnet

beetle's have big fenders and at higher speeds above 150klm
air pressure is build up and is not helping the handling of the front wheels

Installed a kamei spoiler and made a splitter underneath
For more stable drive at higher speed
Around 180 the car is getting light in the front
When i get enough downforce
I will do a autobahn run soon
