Hey, I was required to take a special class to learn words like sphygmomanometer! _________________ "Just $99 down and $64 a month for 36 months buys you a brand new Volkswagen Beetle!"

I wouldent waste $ or thyme on building a small motor. build it big so it dosent have to work hard.remember it's only as fast as your foot alows it to be unless you build a small turd then it just stinks as it squishes up through your toes when you step on it. |

I had to take a Medical Terminology course. A lot of people had trouble pronouncing sphygmomanometer! _________________ "Just $99 down and $64 a month for 36 months buys you a brand new Volkswagen Beetle!"

It won't be more vacuum but will it be more volume and more consistency? |
yes but what for?? want an average then just pinch the hose or use jet and it will quit wobbling the gauge.
This would be good for your vac gauge but not for vac advance.
But you want fast response for distributor advance or for a map sensor.
Engines turn fast you know, and things happen fast. a .1 second hesitation feels HUGE, and I can do a fast shift in .2 seconds. I didn't realize how fast it can be until I took data logs.
Using a one way valve you can have fast response and a strong signal so that's best for running distributors and stuff, and power brakes too. |
A one-way valve feeding vacuum to the distributor?
I think a lot of people are over thinking this. The question was answered early on - the vacuum is dependent more on the cam than what carbs you are running. If you have enough vacuum tapping one point will do the job.
Brakes just slow you down, anyway. _________________ There has only ever been one man who was perfect, and they nailed Him to a cross. |
