OK. Let me get my arms around this situation you are in.
1. You live on a island that is part of the NC Outer Bank Barrier Islands that has very close proximity to open beaches.
2. You mostly have Late Fall through Mid-Spring off.
3. You build buggy's.
4. You can drive a buggy to work.
5. You can drive a buggy on some of the above close proximity beaches.
6. You set up and direct a premier buggy event.
7. When other people take a vacation, they come to where you live.
8. You can almost wear shorts year around, even at work.
I feel for your predicament. _________________ Bad News Racing 2018 NORRA 1000 3rd in Class

Is that violin or banjo music I hear in the background.
In all seriousness Joe, you are quite right and I would not want to live anywhere else.

Update 3/12
Bed linered the top and bottom of the pan. I have also cleaned up the horns and arms getting it ready for paint. I will clean up the beam and weld in an adjuster when it gets in.

Wow, it has been a month since my last update.
I have been working on the chassis.
Rebuilt the front end:
New ball joints
New tie rods and tie rod ends
New steering dampener
All new brakes all around with cylinders, soft and hard lines as well as shoes.
Got tires put on the rims. (Original Lemmerz Sprintstars)
I need to adjust front and rear torsions and align the front end.
I am waiting on the interior.
