I have a 1981 diesel rabbit I just bought few days ago and it's hard to start in winter. I'm looking to get Kats KS4 block heater to help with starting. I do plan to test glow plugs as well. Anyways this Kats KS4 will work for my truck?

yes a block heater will help, but depending on how cold it gets you might want to think about adding other warmers also like engine oil plan heater and a batterie heat pad. I live in Alaska and have a few warmers on my 80 rabbit.
