They sell it in black also. If you go to "bikini top" thread, you may see my garage door entrance to house. I have diamond plate on it, and used the black to cover the sharp edges of it. |

Well, wiring almost done. Found out that a lot of my switches were bad and I had to order a new ignition switch. There was pretty much nothing of any use from the Thing this once was. |

Well, I drove it home from Joe's Bug Repair. A couple small adjustments need to be made but over all great. The suspension is great and I have my tires at 30psi. The brake rotor rubs on one side in the rear. Had it at 50mph and seemed good. I need a little smaller steering wheel and add a mirror. Well, I have a mirror but need to put it on. Also need to have the tires balanced. It was a lot of fun. Just a couple small things. |

Just to add, this style of exhaust is really quiet. I mean really quiet. I might change it later, at least the end portion. |

I also need to add, I have a autometer tach. I made sure to set it right before I put it in and it's off by about 800 rpm or so, at least that's what I think. Maybe I should have spent the money and gotten a better one. |

Yeah, I triple checked that before I installed it. I guess, I will need to pull it to see if something happened when I installed it. Don't think so, but it's worth a look. |

New steering wheel. One day I might pull the steering colum and shorten it 3/4 inch, then it would be perfect. |

I just contacted an upholstery shop about a top. I'm wanting fully enclosed with removable back window and sides. Let's see what happens. |

Is that your fabric choice?

I wouldent waste $ or thyme on building a small motor. build it big so it dosent have to work hard.remember it's only as fast as your foot alows it to be unless you build a small turd then it just stinks as it squishes up through your toes when you step on it. |

More flowers the better. Not that 60s bull poop either. I like the Victorian florals. Or maybe just black with flowers stitched into it. Kind of like ghost flowers. |

Well, I scheduled the buggy to go to smitty's upholstery on Aug 10 for a top, back window and sides made. All custom and the roll cage will act as the top support. I kind of in visioned a turtle shell look. Sleek not the box style more round edges to flow the buggy style. Going to be real exciting. |

That was the first thing I did when I received my buggy. Only took about an hour. Easy to do. |

Should not take long at all. Remove shaft, make a nice clean cut. Measure back 3/4 inch cat again. Make a little bevel on both sides. Place into a pice of angle iron clamp and weld. The angle iron is just the to keep it perfect and straight. Just had our first baby so not a lot of garage time. |

Is the top done? Love your concept, can't wait to see some photos. Great build by the way. |

I got to put in the dash outlet still and mount he windshield defroster. I'm going to take that exhaust off and get one with oversized heater boxes. |

Wow, looks great. No internal support bars, right? Snugs to the roll cage, simple, effective, I love it. |

Snugs right up to the cage. I like it the way it stays sleeker than the older styels. You got to have the right proportions. With the small body of the buggy, you got to have a small top. That's why the small bikini tops look good. |
