Pearl White is the name of the color, it doesn't actually have a "Pearl" in it if you are thinking of a more modern paint.

OK, that's good to know. I kind of thought that might be the case.

My Dad bought it (second owner) in 1966 and I have all of the paperwork (original bill of sale, NC title, loan documents, insurance documents, etc.). It was an original L87 Pearl White Sunroof car. I restored it as close to original appearance (paint, trim, brick red two-tone interior) then several years later applied the Herbie decals and the custom wheels. As kids my sisters and I used to beg Dad to make it a Herbie, but it was the early 70s and he never did. I finally got to do it!!!

Wow - that interior looks very nice and correct. Is that the original floor mat or did you dye a WW mat? It looks great

Heres my original paint 65 beetle that I did a pan off preservation over the last winter. It’s been back on the road for about a month now after sitting in a field for 20+ years.

My original paint 1961 Pearl White, originally delivered to Stockholm, Sweden. Purchased by a lady who was 61, she blew the original engine around '64 and the dealer fitted a replacement, she then blew this one in '76 and subsequently stored in a barn since then. The car was uncovered late 2018 and my wife and I purchased it in March 2019 from the guy who found it. It now has a 40hp stale air industrial engine fitted.
