Why is DLK building the Liberty Bug?? We feel very strongly that it is important to give back to those who have served and given so much to insure the freedom of this great nation. What better time to honor these hero's than on July 4th weekend at Dub Splash.
We are dedicating the Liberty Bug build in remembrance of Sgt. Joshua Michael (A REAL American Hero). Sgt. Joshua Michael lost his life in a tragic accident in Midland TX on November 15th 2012. He was a Hero to the end.
We decided that it was time to Give Back and set out to find the right charities. We talked with Sgt. Michael's wife, Daylyn, and asked her which charities really stepped up during her families time of need. She gave us a couple and we settled on Soldiers' Angels and the Honor Flight Network. Both work diligently to support and honor our American Hero's.
DLK is proud to donate ALL proceeds from the Liberty Bug build to these two charities in Sgt. Joshua Michael's name. Help us support these charities by buying a raffle ticket @ http://www.dlkdubsplash.com

Tito, Doug, James, Jeremy and Wayne came out. Not a lot to show the pan is coming together. Got all the brake lines run. New king and link pins, rebuilt pedal assembly, new shift rod bushing and coupler. All new brakes and seals.New steering box mounted. Tranny has been mounted. Waiting on a few more parts and the pan will be on the ground.

Got some progress done this weekend. Motor installed. Body was buffed, washed, and waxed. Got the body bolted to the pan. Brakes adjusted and bled. We tried to install the windshield but it cracked at the last few inches. Off to Arjona this Tuesday to get a headliner.
